One thing I really love about a good beach house is the simplicity of it. Who needs a lot of “stuff” when you are surrounded by such amazing views?! Take for instance the teeny tiny office in this space (picture 5). It is literally a desk, a chair, a plant, and a laptop squished into something the size of a coat closet, BUT it works! It works because there’s a floor to ceiling window looking out onto the waves that beautifully lets the light in. I could easily do a closet sized office with views like that. Take a peek below at what the rest of this California beach house has to offer:
You can’t be unhappy with a kitchen like this!
It’s all in the details
Teeny tiny office space with a view!
Once again, loving the details!

Once again I’m sharing my love for a tiny house. This one is like a mini beach cottage on wheels!! It stands with only a mere 150 square feet of living space but all 150 square feet are adorable. I spotted this tiny beach house on Tiny House Town. You can actually rent it (click link to see rental details). Which might be a good idea to test drive, if you were seriously considering buying a tiny house. Scroll down to check out this tiny beach house!
There are so many beachy/nautical details like the posts on this bed
Check out the mermaid knob on the bathroom door!
Loving this bathroom sink!
I love the idea of keeping colorful bowls and glasses out for display
I love the beachy slates and tiny deck on this tiny house!
I’m in love with this beach house located on Sullivan’s Island in South Carolina!! I especially love all the coastal details, like the acrylic trunk in the living room filled with large seashells and driftwood. This idea would be so easy to include in your own home and would make an amazing coffee table! Check it out:
I love the use of natural elements, i.e. lots of wicker furniture and plants in this beach house.
That trunk is my favorite!
I love the simple coastal details in this bathroom

Because what girl doesn’t want to live in a tiny pink cottage on a beach in the Bahamas?! This place is so adorable. I’ve long advocated my love of tiny homes and while I wouldn’t call this “tiny” it does have a small home feel. There’s a coziness here that’s created with a variety of textures (lots of wicker!) and beachy shades of aquas and blues. Scroll down to take the tour!
This porch swing is the best one ever!!

I’m so excited to share this light-filled beach cottage with you that I spotted on Elle Decor! It’s filled with soothing pastel colors and perfectly styled bookcases (which makes me want to rearrange my own!). However my most favorite thing about this home is actually the staircase, shown immediately below. It’s very simply painted but cleverly done to give off that coastal vibe. Take a look!
I’m in love with this desk!
What is it about simplicity and Summer? When you just need a swimsuit, a beach towel and a cool refreshing drink to get by. For some reason it seems we need twice as much stuff for all the other seasons? I’ve never understood it but rather choose to just enjoy the simple things of Summer while they last. This Hawaii beach cottage on the island of Maui is just one of those things. A simple stunner of a beach house that’s been carefully designed from an old carriage house, not to include more than one really needs.
I love the simple decor and openness of this space
At first glance this rustic dinning table seems like nothing more than a shifty old table, but at second glance I noticed the all natural legs and my heart went boom-boom
In love with these pillows!
I love that they put printed wallpaper in between the beams!!
and continued it into the bathroom
This outdoor seating has my heart!
This home doesn’t look like it belongs in Venice Beach but it does! and it has the most amazing outdoor space I’ve ever seen!! Not going to lie, I have a bit of garden envy. Which is why I’ve broken this post up into outdoor and indoor pics. The home itself has strong Moroccan influences (hence the reason I say it doesn’t look like it belongs here). There’s lots of weather wood, a personal favorite, mixed with smooth cement walls. Check it out:
I could float in this pool all day!
I love the tile work in this pool!
Love those rustic cabinets!
also having coffee table envy
